Rec+ is a recreational program designed for players who are looking to stay active, learn a new sport, or continue their learning journey in a fun and exciting environment.</p>

Our program provides licensed, professional coaches to each group of players. When groups break out into their games, volunteer coaches will assist with making sure all players get into the game while the licensed coach becomes the referee for their game and manages the game.

A Little More Info On Rec Soccer Classes

1. What is rec soccer?

Recreational soccer, or rec soccer, refers to community-based soccer programs that offer inclusive and accessible soccer classes for kids of all skill levels. Unlike competitive leagues, rec soccer is focused on fun, skill development, and a love for the game rather than intense competition. These soccer classes typically group players by age and are designed to teach fundamentals in a supportive environment. It’s a perfect entry point for families looking to introduce their children to soccer without the pressure of tryouts or travel commitments.

2. Why play rec soccer?

Enrolling your child in rec soccer classes is a great way to spark a lifelong interest in physical activity while keeping things fun and low-pressure. Rec soccer encourages participation over performance, giving every child a chance to play and improve. Parents choose rec soccer classes because they provide a balanced approach to sports, with practices and games that fit into busy family schedules. It’s an ideal choice for young athletes just starting out or those who simply want to enjoy the game with friends.

3. What are the benefits to your child playing rec soccer?

Rec soccer classes offer a wide range of benefits for your child’s development. Physically, they build strength, coordination, and endurance through active play. Psychosocially, kids gain confidence, learn teamwork, and develop resilience. These soccer classes also teach important life skills like communication, cooperation, and discipline. Beyond just athletic ability, children learn the rules and strategies of the game in a way that’s age-appropriate and fun. Most importantly, they build friendships and a sense of community that extends beyond the soccer field.

4. What is the difference between recreational soccer and competitive soccer? When and why should parents choose recreationally?

The primary difference between recreational and competitive soccer lies in the structure and intensity. Competitive leagues involve tryouts, travel, and a stronger focus on winning, while rec soccer classes prioritize fun, inclusivity, and skill-building. Parents should consider rec soccer when looking for a program that fits their child’s interest level and allows for exploration without pressure. It’s an excellent option for younger children, beginners, or those balancing multiple activities. Rec soccer classes lay a strong foundation for future growth, whether a child continues recreationally or moves into more advanced levels later on.

Want To Stay Involved?

Our soccer classes are led by trained coaches, but once the players start their game, the coach will become the referee to make sure there is flow to the game. We are looking to have two volunteers per field to help substitute players into the game and make it easier on the coach. If you are interested in potentially coaching in the future, this is also a great way to get started or if you just want to spend more quality time with your child, this is a great way to stay involved.
